It’s a new online presence and Mindset for this writer! Hello, it’s so good to be back among my fellow PAC friends and extended friends.
I’m Monna Ellithorpe. I’ve been working online off and on for more years than I can remember but the last ten years have taken a toll on me in more ways than one.
I vowed to make 2018 my new year to come back full force with my writing, publishing, and blogging and letting God lead my way.
No details on the past, just starting new from January 1, 2018, and moving forward.
New Focus in 2018
Going against many suggestions and advice, I’ve decided to focus on “MY” blog and add anything I want to talk about and of course work and write about subjects that will interest many different people.
Think about it… we all have different interests but do we have a separate house or room that we can only talk about that subject?
No, we don’t.
We have one house and we fill it with “who we are and what we’re about” and that includes many different topics, ideas, plans, subjects, and traditions.
Many Changes and Learning New Things
I have noticed since coming back online full time and watching my daughter learn to blog for the first time, there are many things that have changed and I will have to forget some “old ways” that were the normal way of working on the internet.
My daughter is lucky. She is learning with “What Works Now” and has no “used to be” ideas to unlearn.
One of the first and foremost things for this year is to follow my key phrase for this year and that is; “Don’t Over Think Things.” When you over think things, you get nothing done.
So what if something we try doesn’t work out as planned. Make a note of what didn’t work and try something else.
For so long I didn’t do anything because I worried about wasting my time on something that might not work (negative mindset). Guess what? I wasted that time anyway.
On the other hand and with a positive mindset, it just might work and who’s to know one way or the other if we don’t try?
When the New Year started I had to move my blog to a new server and I was devastated when I realized my WordPress backup failed. I’d worked on my blog for many years and it was just “GONE.”
Positive Mindset Takes Over
The devastation only lasted for a split second. Then I realized I’d been given an incredible chance to start with brand new ideas, new content and a renewed sense of confidence in myself and my work.
Even though I’d worked on my blog for quite a few years, there were many things wrong with it and many things that didn’t apply to what works now online.
I love writing and each piece I write, I know will give me the experience and practice I need to become a better writer and grow with each time I publish something in a book, on my blog or as a guest blogger.
In turn, I will produce better books and posts for people to read and enjoy.
I’ve revised my Self-Publishing services and always look forward to working with authors to get their work published.
As a publisher, I also get a first-hand sneak peek at a new book that’ll soon be listed on Amazon CreateSpace and/or Amazon Kindle (KDP). I take great pride in being the first to read a manuscript and look forward to reading comments and reviews of books that I’ve helped bring to life.
Meet The Author
I’ve also started doing interviews with new and self-published authors. Some I’ve worked with and some have published their work in other ways. But each has a story to tell either through their book(s) or with me during the Meet the Author interview.
You can watch the previous interviews I’ve done so far from here: Meet the Author Interviews.
Do you realize just how fortunate we are?
1. Be able to create friendships online with people we would otherwise never meet
2. Form working teams to benefit everyone involved
3. Form communities such as PAC (Power Affiliate Club)
4. The freedom to express ourselves through our blogging, writing articles and books and videos
5. Be able to follow through with a life-long dream of being a published author
6. Learn absolutely almost anything you can think of, through an internet connection
I know many of us do not have the support of our off-line family and friends but that doesn’t mean the work we do is unimportant.
We “CAN” make a difference in people’s lives and our own if we just take the initiative; take action and “Don’t Over Think Things”
I am so grateful to be coming back online with friends I’ve known for a while and to have the determined mindset to make 2018 the best year ever.
Do You Have a “Best Year Ever Mindset?”
Tell us about it in the comments section below.
If not, what are you waiting for?
PAC is the perfect place to get started.
I want to thank Lesly Federici for the awesome work and dedication she has put forth to keep PAC going strong and growing, which is now in its 4th year, I believe.
You will make some amazing friends within the PAC Community and learn so much from so many different people who are all experts in their fields.
Take a look around and see what PAC offers and then join us and make your online presence known.
Much love and appreciation to every member of PAC.
I love all of you.
